Talk about mixing metaphors…
This three song EP includes references to Leonardo DaVinci, the Fine Young Cannibals, and The New York Dolls.
We start out with Sugar and Oil, a blues-rock breakup song and love battle between diametrically opposed lovers who both dig FYC.
“I just want a woman who’s a little bit better than me” sings Jones in Hot Personality, a modern twist on the same theme as Roaring Lion’s ‘Ugly Woman’. If you’ve got a choice pick the girl with a hot personality and adjust the looks to taste.
Lastly we have Helicopter Mutant Men, a warped historical interpretation of our robot overlords.
